A look back on the 3rd NFDI4Energy Conference 2026. NFDI4ING contributed with a keynote by our spokesperson Robert Schmitt and showcased its collaboration with NFDI4Energy on a a task-based semantic framework.
A review of our contribution to the workshop “Datafizierte Welten: Kritische Untersuchungen zu Datenpraktiken in der Architektur”.
NFDI4ING participated in the IDOVIR workshop on source classification bringing together experts from the fields of archaeology, building research, historic preservation, art history and computer sciences.
NFDI4ING contributed to the FAIR4Instruments Workshop hosted by the TDCC-NES on February 12–13, 2026, in Utrecht.
Research engineers often face a flood of heterogeneous data. A recent use case demonstrates how the Open Research Knowledge Graph (ORKG) helps transform 25 complex energy studies into a single, transparent, and machine-actionable resource.
NFDI4ING’s Metadata Profile Service assists the community in creating and sharing subject-specific metadata profiles that support FAIR and interoperable research data.
From stained glass to data models: “Windows on Data” brings together consortia across the NFDI to explore how heterogeneous research data can work seamlessly together.
NFDI4ING launches “Copilot,” a new AI-driven task area that enhances research data management and software engineering through chat-based support, improved JupyterHub tools, and integrated generative AI.
NFDI4ING strengthens data literacy from day one: a digitalization lab course from TU Darmstadt inspires other universities to integrate research data management into engineering education.
The NFDI4ING Conference 2025 brought our community together in Darmstadt – now we look ahead to a joint NFDI4ING & NFDI4Cat event in Frankfurt, set to spark new synergies in FAIR data and digital research.
