Lunch Bite Oct 2026: Architectural RDM Pipeline – From Heterogeneous Project Data to FAIR Research Data

Research data in architecture and the building sector often emerge as heterogeneous collections: spreadsheets, publications, plans, and models are compiled and evaluated on a project-specific basis. To turn these materials into reusable research data, the information must be structured, documented, and prepared for publication.
Program
The Lunch Bite will provide an insight into the development of the Architectural RDM Pipeline (ARDMP) within NFDI4ING. Using a research data collection on multi-storey timber buildings as an example, it will show how structured datasets can be created from heterogeneous sources using application profiles. The presentation will introduce the project’s current approach and discuss how such workflows can be transferred to other types of research.
The session consists of a 15-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute Q&A and discussion.
