HeFDI (Hessian Resarch Data Infrastructures/Hessische Landesinitiative für Forschungsdateninfrastrukturen) invites researchers and students to join its upcoming HeFDI Code School 2026.
The program offers a hands-on introduction to essential digital research skills, with a focus on Python programming and Jupyter Notebooks. This basic track is designed for beginners and provides a solid entry point into modern research data practices in engineering and related fields. The Code School takes places online on April 17th, April 24th, and May 8th.
Participants will gain practical experience in data manipulation using Pandas, along with basic plotting techniques for data exploration and analysis. Building on these foundations, the course also introduces interactive visualizations, elements of web development, and the effective use of AI tools for coding workflows.
More information and registration details are available at https://codeschool.hefdi.de/
For advanced coders and graduates of the basic track, a follow up “advanced track” organized in collaboration with NFDI4ING is planned for June. We will keep you informed once details are available.
