3D@NFDI Roadshow: NFDI4NG Contributes to Joint NFDI Event

NFDI4ING joins the 3D@NFDI Roadshow, a joint event by NFDI4Culture, NFDI4Objects and NFDI4ING, offering insights into the use of 3D data, related workflows, tools, and standards across disciplines.

Since 2022, NFDI4Culture has regularly highlighted current topics related to 3D. This year, the format is being expanded across the NFDI network through the 3D@NFDI Roadshow.

NFDI4ING will participate alongside NFDI4Objects and NFDI4Culture, contributing its own activities and results. The event will provide insights into the use of 3D data across various domains, including archaeology, architecture, civil engineering, and cultural heritage objects and collections.

Key topics include:

  • Workflows, tools, services, and guidelines
  • Data collection, storage, and publication in repositories
  • Long-term archiving
  • Standards such as IIIF and PIDs for identification and findability
  • Visualization in viewers, as well as vocabularies and use cases

The event offers an excellent opportunity for exchange within the NFDI community and for cross-disciplinary networking.
