Virtual labs, digital twins and simulation-driven design are increasingly shaping industrial innovation. To fully leverage their potential, however, simulation models and the underlying software must be reliable, reproducible, and aligned with real-world data. This workshop brings together experts to discuss current challenges in verification and validation (V&V), review existing benchmarks across domains, and explore requirements for trustworthy simulation workflows and benchmark platforms.

The workshop is organized and hosted by BAM Division 7.7 Modelling and Simulation in cooperation with NFDI4ING and will take place on 15–16 June 2026 (lunch-to-lunch) at BAM in Berlin-Adlershof.
