NFDI4ING is entering its second funding period! The kick-off event marks an important milestone for the consortium and its partners as we continue to advance research data management in the engineering sciences.
The second funding period officially began on October 1st, 2025. Since then, all task areas have started work on their respective work packages as outlined in the proposal for renewed funding, ensuring a seamless continuation of activities and the timely implementation of planned developments. This next phase focuses on consolidating existing results and expanding services to further strengthen the NFDI4ING infrastructure.
During the kick-off event, members will outline activities with immediate impact for the German engineering research community, discuss new objectives, and set the strategic direction for the coming years. The meeting will also provide space for exchange across working groups to strengthen collaboration within the network and welcome new NFDI4ING members into the fold.
