Alex’s Hands-on Research Data Management for Engineers

For the first time, NFDI4ING offers a summer school focused on research data management in engineering. From 7 to 9 July the archetype Alex, who specialises on research data management for highly-variable, bespoke, one-of-a-kind experiments, provides a comprehensive, 3-day, ‘hands-on’ format on domain-specific research data management.

Participants have the opportunity to get to know in detail our practice in dealing with experimentally acquired research data and our teaching concepts in our practical course on digitisation. We will provide a comprehensive introduction with practical exercises and our experimental case for FAIR data management, demonstrating the application of software, concepts and best practice from NFDI4ING from the planning of the experiment to the publication of data and results. We hope that we enable the participants to spread our experiences and provide feedback from other disciplines.

Participation is free of charge, please organise your own accommodation. We only have a limited number of seats, so please register by 6 June at the latest at sekretariat@fst.tu-darmstadt.de.
