Betty is the NFDI4ING Task Area dedicated to services for engineering research software. Together with the NFDI4ING Community Cluster for Civil Engineering and Architecture, the Betty-team invites all researchers interested in research software to an online community meeting on April 29th 2025. From 9am to 1pm we will talk about current topics, innovations and improvements: What innovative tools, services and methods make it easier for you to find, use and develop research software, and to manage the associated data and metadata?
Participation in the event is free of charge. All information and the link for registration can be found at: https://communitymeeting.de/
Live talks and workshop
The event offers a programme with various formats: In a workshop, key questions will be collaboratively identified with the participants on the topic of benchmarking for model verification and validation.
Two talks with live demonstrations present current services from NFDI4ING: Firstly, Betty’s (Re)Search Engine to find repositories for research software (e.g. on GitHub or GitLab) and to retrieve linked corresponding publications including metadata. Secondly, the NFDI4ING Data Ingest Service, which is specially adapted to the needs of publishing research data in architecture and civil engineering.
SHOWME.how
Last but not least, there will be a community contribution to ‘SHOWME.how’, a method to orchestrate heterogeneous workflows in model-based engineering applications.
