ing.grid featured by DFG

ing.grid is part of DFG's new film on scholar-led publishing, highlighting community-driven, Diamond Open Access publishing.

The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) has released a new short film highlighting the importance of scholar-led and scholar-owned publishing. We are proud that ing.grid, NFDI4ING’s researcher-led, Diamond Open Access journal dedicated to FAIR research data and engineering science, is featured as one of the examples of community-driven publishing initiatives.

In the film, Peter Pelz, NFDI4ING’s spokesperson and founder and Editor-in-Chief of ing.grid, joins researchers from different disciplines to discuss topics such as data sovereignty, academic freedom, and sustainable publishing models. The film also illustrates how existing research infrastructures and community networks can support researchers in shaping the future of scholarly communication.

The video offers an excellent introduction to the ideas behind ing.grid and to the broader movement towards open, community-owned publishing.
