NFDI4ING has started work on the integration of RDMO and Coscine. The aim of this initiative is to enable seamless interoperability between the two services and to better support researchers throughout the entire research data lifecycle, from planning to long-term preservation. The initiative is supported by and in collaboration with the NFDI Basic Service DMP4NFDI.

Connecting RDMO, a tool for structured research data management planning, with Coscine, a platform for (meta)data storage and management in accordance with the FAIR principles, users will benefit from reduced duplication of effort, improved consistency of metadata, and more efficient workflows. This integration will help ensure that research data management plans and their practical implementation are closely aligned.

The work on this integration begins now, with initial results expected in June 2026. Further details on technical approaches, use cases, and benefits will be shared as the project progresses. We will keep you up to date on developments and invite the community to follow this work and engage with upcoming updates!
