In NFDI4Ing, various services and solutions are being developed to improve and simplify (research) data management. To bring these solutions into practice and validate them based on the subject-specific requirements of researchers, NFDI4Ing regularly organizes Community Meetings. Researchers, infrastructure operators and industry partners from various fields of engineering meet to discuss ideas and to network. The Community Meetings take place online, participation is free of charge and open to everyone interested.
In September, the communities working in thermal engineering and process engineering (CC42) and civil engineering and architecture (CC45) met under the heading “Ready-to-Use Services by NFDI4Ing” to discuss the most recent results and live services of NFDI4Ing. The agendas covered a variety of research data management topics: starting with how to support finding and collecting data, to tools for handling and organising data, to developing skills and training in data management. Complementary materials such as slides and recordings and follow-up information will be made available on the respective event site: CC-42 and CC-45.
If you are interested in participating but missed these opportunities, don’t worry – there will be one more Community Meeting in September and many more meetings in the future.
The next NFDI4Ing Community Meeting will take place this Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 09:00 – 16:00 CEST. It will be focussed on topics in mechanical and production engineering. You can more information on the agenda and the registration link here.
Feel free to forward this invitation and all future invitations to NFDI4Ing community meetings to interested colleagues. We are looking forward to your participation.
