NFDI4ING offers CoRDI conference grants

From 26-28 August, the second Conference on Research Data Infrastructures (CoRDI) takes place in Aachen. To make research data management more accessible in engineering, NFDI4ING offers grants to cover the CoRDI 2025 conference fee.

Research data management (RDM) is an essential component of good scientific practice. What constitutes ‘robust’ research data management, what support services and infrastructures are available, best practices and use cases will be the topics of the second Conference on Research Data Infrastructure (CoRDI) taking place in Aachen from 26 to 28 August.

Are you active in an engineering research field and would like to learn more about research data management or are you looking for an exchange on RDM? NFDI4ING, the consortium for RDM in engineering sciences in the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI), is awarding grants to cover this year’s CoRDI conference fee. The aim of the grants is to make research data management accessible to a broader target group in engineering sciences. Previous experience and/or existing relationships with NFDI4ING are therefore expressly not required. Feel free to share this call with your colleagues in engineering!

What do you have to do?

  • Send an email to contact@nfdi4ing.de by July 4th with your contact details (email, institution) and some personal information (field of study, specific interests in FDM, previous experience with FDM, if applicable).
  • Take part in the CoRDI and then write a short report about your experiences, which will be published (e.g.,) as a blog post on nfdi4ing.de, in the NFDI4ING newsletter and/or the NFDI4ING community on Zenodo.

Review procedure:

  • All applications received will be reviewed; if necessary, NFDI4ING will select participants based on various criteria (including date of application, previous experience with FDM).
  • You will be notified by July 18th at the latest whether your application has been accepted.
  • You register for the conference via the conference website and participate.
  • You write your report on your participation (deadline: September 19th)

Restrictions:
