Data management plan templates
Target: Planning of research data management in mechanical and industrial engineering
Procedure is a precondition for good data management and has the potential to optimise the current practice. The use of data management plan tools such as the Research Data Management Organiser (RDMO) can guide scientists to a good data management and give them confidence as to which procedure corresponds to good scientific practice in the field. However, the precondition for this is a subject-specific adaptation of the generic tools. The University Library of RWTH Aachen University and the University and State Library of TU Darmstadt are cooperating in a project aimed at adapting data management plan templates for departments of mechanical and industrial engineering. The funding is secured by means of a call for competitive ideas, which was carried out by FZ Jülich as part of a project of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
